This short read started off as a note of encouragement to Angel’s nieces and nephews. As the note grew in length, it became an article for an LGBT magazine, written to reach and encourage the young people of today. As Angel kept writing, she realized there was so much more to say that could really alter this generation’s future…and for the better.

I remember, after a devastating loss, being in the firm stranglehold of suicidal thoughts and tearfully whispering for help. Where were those who had gone before me? Where were the survivors?”
